Salimata was born and lived in Burkina Faso until the age of 22, when she was brought to Côte d’Ivoire in the village of Ahiroa to marry. She then began a peaceful life of farmer with her plot of land on which she grows yam, maize, peanut and some cocoa. But with her 4 children growing up and her dependent nephew, Salimata needs to improve her revenue with a more profitable culture and a bigger parcel. Based on information heard on the radio and taken from her friends, she opts for the granadilla.
She requested the help of the "supporters" to launch this culture on an area of 1 hectare.
For Salimata, this project of granadilla will bring her a lot because like she says: "it’s profitable and easy to harvest, especially now that I start feeling back pain."
